Tenuta Pistola brings together the architecture, gardens and agricultural character of a remarkable corner of Puglia. At its heart stands Masseria Pistola; below it, the Giardini unfold in terraces towards the valley. Vineyard, olive groves and woodland connect the buildings to the land.
Careful restoration and considered landscape design have given each part a new life, while preserving the sense that it belongs here.

01 · The Masseria
The architectural
heart of Pistola.
Stone roofs, vaulted rooms, trulli and sheltered courtyards give the Masseria its unmistakable character. The historic cumersa farmhouse anchors a collection of buildings shaped by generations of rural life.
Today, beautifully restored interiors sit alongside eleven en suite bedrooms across the Masseria and Garden Cottage, private gardens, two pools and a tennis court.

02 · The Giardini
A garden shaped
by its landscape.
Designed by Urquhart & Hunt, winners of Gold and Best Show Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022, four hectares of terraced gardens give the estate a distinctive landscape identity. Mediterranean planting, stone walls and water frame long views across the Canale di Pirro.
The Pistola landscape itself won the International Commercial or Community Landscapes & Gardens category at the Society of Garden Designers Awards 2024.
The Water Canale, Amphitheatre, Walled Garden and terraces create a succession of places to pause, wander and gather. The farm shop and tasting bar connect the gardens to the flavours of the land.

03 · Vineyard & Wines
From the valley.
Under our own name.
The vineyard is part of Pistola’s identity as a living agricultural estate. Its rhythms sit alongside the olive harvest, the changing gardens and the life of the Masseria.
The Masseria Pistola label carries that identity beyond the landscape, with a range including Verdeca, Primitivo, Rosato and Nero di Troia. Wine, hospitality and place share one story.

04 · The Farm Shop

Beside the gardens, the farm shop brings together Masseria Pistola wines, olive oils, small-batch honeys, seasonal preserves and lavender-inspired products.
