Old stone.
A considered new life.
A restoration that respects the Masseria’s rural architecture while giving its rooms a generous, contemporary purpose.

The design approach
Character, preserved.
Comfort, considered.
Local architects worked with London-based Tully Filmer and Thurstan Design to restore Masseria Pistola. Vaulted ceilings, traditional stone roofs and the distinctive forms of the original buildings were preserved.
The result is a house where the materials and proportions of the past remain visible, with interiors designed for the way people live and gather today.

Across the house
Room to gather.
Space to retreat.
Generous living and dining spaces are complemented by three kitchens, a wine room and an orangery. Eleven en suite bedrooms are arranged across the Masseria and Garden Cottage.
Private gardens, courtyards and two pools draw daily life outdoors. The restored house sits at the centre of a wider landscape, rather than apart from it.
